Where I Buy My Clothes
I buy my clothes from Forever 21, Aeropostale, Hollister, and Kohl's. This exercise makes me second guess where I bu my clothes from because now I know that there are many clothes companies that are unfair to their workers and use child labor. If my parents were the ones in that position, I wouldn't buy the clothes they made because of how unfair the situation is. I bet if more people knew about these sweatshops , or cruelties happening to these people, they would pay just a little more so that their wages (the workers in India) could get livable wages.
If I were the one that was treated unfairly, I would try to be part of a union or try to organize some workers to strike or protest in the wrong doings. If I were a child in India working in one of those sweatshops I think I would feel helpless because would I need to make money, but if I made one wrong move, I could get fired. Many of us have to put ourselves in these peoples' shoes to see what it's like to live like them and to work like they do. Maybe we could stand up for them if they can't because they're children, or simply just scared. We can help make a difference if we all tried.
