First Responder at The Triangle Shirt Waist Fire

Dear Editor,

I am writing as one of the first responders who arrived first at the scene of the Triangle Shirt Waist Fire.  When I arrived I looked up at the burning building and all I could see was thick black smoke and a little       portion of the fire, which was crimson red.  I could feel the heat waves and flames just piercing through the air. The first thing that I began to wonder was how many people were still trapped inside the building, and then I thought of how many of the trapped are even still alive or have a chance of survival. I started looking around and i would just see women and some men bleeding and screaming in pain, i felt as if it were an action movie scene.
