Non-Profit Group

Dear Editor,

I am from a Non-Profit Organization that's trying to stop human trafficking, brothels, prostitution, and rape against young girls. Victims can be as young as 6 and any grown woman and that's just not acceptable. Young girls in many countries are  desperate for work because their families don't have enough money for what they need to survive and  get tricked into being taken from their families. The majority of families live day by day and become desperate for more money around the house, they allow their daughters to be sold into brothels. More than 1,000 girls get sold into brothels. The girls get beaten, raped, prostituted and mistreated. They sleep with at least 10-20 men  a month.

80% of females are trafficked all around the world. 80% of females in Cambodia can't read or write, only 5% of females finish school. Most the girls don't even get a chance to attend school instead they go to ''work'' while their brothers go to school and get an education.

In Ethiopia children got circumcised for centuries. The mothers didn't approve but there was nothing they could do to stop them, both boys and girls got circumcised. Later on they made a Law that banned Genital Mutilation. Kids wanted an education but instead they got circumcised and married off, it was a part of the tribal traditions in a way.

I don't see how this is fair to anyone. I would just like you to know what is going on all over the world and that I want to make a difference and help in any way possible to stop this at once! I do not agree with what is going on and I don't think it should be happening to women, let alone children at that. I hope you understand where I am coming from and agree to support me and my organization in helping these woman and children all around the world. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Sincerely,

Megan Espinosa
