Dear Editor,
I am the sister of a human trafficking victim. My name is Doniya and my sister Safaa is now dead because of this horrible abuse of trafficking women. I live in Pakistan but this problem happens all around the world and daily. We need to be more cautious because this industry is fast growing and spreading amongst other countries also. My sister Safaa was tricked into being a prostitute, which lead to her tragic death. It saddens me the most to know that my sister suffered a lot during the last times of her life. I wish she could have gone peacefully. During her prostitution days, Safaa had to sleep with around 10 men daily and if she refused, she was beaten. My sister died of AIDs caused by human trafficking but yours doesn't have to. We have to be well aware that these things are out there and may affect some of you who hear the story about my sister. My sister was easily tricked because we have little education, others my people who are close to them. I want people to use my sister's story as an example to something that is real and can happen. I want people to be alert and aware.
Gisella, you do a great job writing from the sister's point of view! Thanks!
