TSW Victim

Kejia Dozier

Block 1

Dear Editor

HI, My name is Kejia Dozier and I was a victim of the Triangle Shirt Waist. Over 140 people died, only because the fire safety exits were not up to date, and working. I felt like they really didn’t care about our safety and if we died or not, only because it wasn’t safely inspected. People tried to go down the fire escapes and the other one was locked, and the fire hoes didn’t work.  Women jumped out the window just to try to survive, but they were on the ninth floor and it was no way possible they could have jumped and made it out alive. They need to make sure that if there going to have a factory full of working people at least make sure that it is safe and prepared for anything. I am going to protest, sue and quite my job. I lost a lot of friends to this tragedy that could have been prevented. Everyone needs to know that this was a huge tragedy and something needs to be done. Someone needs to take the blame for this horrible nightmare. My voice needs to be heard!

Sincerely,  a Victim
